Prove to Me:
A very, super, special thanks to Sandy Sharis who provided the vocals for this song. You. Are. Amazing.
It’s the final act. The final mystery has been solved, and the IT makes their last dive, but are their problems, successes and dreams nothing more than human frailty? What are humans before a goddess?
According to the goddess, not much.

We’ve worked out the logistics of this operation. As a result, we’ve got a solid plan. That said, the donations so far has been very helpful in ensuring that we do not encounter…

Hai~
Records!
In a probably ill-advised move that I nonetheless do not regret in the slightest, I bought a couple of records the other day. I bought the limited 2LP of Imaginaerum by Nightwish and the “45”/You Got Lucky single by The Gaslight Anthem, and they are both fantastic! I’ll save my opinions on Imaginaerum for another day, I think, but suffice it to say I love every song on it.
As for “45”, I had only heard two Gaslight Anthem albums a little before I bought this on the recommendation of my boyfriend and didn’t know exactly what to expect, though I had a feeling I’d like it. As it turns out, it’s fantastic, extremely catchy (I’m gonna wear out the record at this rate, and I just got the thing!) and it’s definitely gotten me pumped for their new album Handwritten, which comes out on the 24th of July. I’ve never really been into current music, so being excited for a new album is a very new feeling for me. Let it be known, I officially can’t wait!
Now, as for the B-side, You Got Lucky, it’s actually a cover of a Tom Petty song, which I think explains the lack of lyrics on the back of the sleeve. Normally I don’t like covers, but they did a really good job on this one. Unlike a lot of covers I’ve heard, this one doesn’t make me want to go all movie-werewolf on the covering artist, so they’re safe.. for now.
All in all, I’d say I’m satisfied with my purchases, and if I had to name one thing I didn’t like, I’d say the amount I paid on shipping…
Queer & Khmer: Please help my friend escape his abusive home!
I have friend named Matthew (we call him Miles) living in a rural part of Missouri. He’s a nice guy; he’s gay, a bit of nerd, and always amiable. His family is abusive and controlling. From the first few time I’ve meet him (online), he has told me stories of how his family, his father in…
